Steel Frames WA is a high-performance, project-based manufacturing business supplying light gauge steel framing to many of Western Australia's leading residential builders.
We are an owner-led, quick-moving business where decisions are made quickly, projects move at pace, and accuracy is critical.
As we continue to scale capacity, invest in equipment, and secure larger contracts, we are seeking a motivated Estimator to support accurate quoting, project documentation, and commercial outcomes across the business.
This role sits at the front end of project delivery, helping ensure quotes are accurate, documentation is clear, and projects are set up correctly from the start.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with the estimating, detailing, sales, and operations teams to support project outcomes from initial documentation through to quoting and scheduling.
You will be involved in:
• Interpreting building plans and project documentation
• Preparing and supporting quotations
• Reviewing project information against schedules and requirements
• Supporting workflow between estimating, detailing, production, and operations
• Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
• Communicating with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret building plans, fabrication drawings, and project documentation
• Complete quantity take-offs and assist with estimating requirements
• Prepare accurate quotations and supporting documentation
• Ensure materials and project requirements align with documentation
• Support building schedules and project timelines
• Maintain accurate records and document control
• Provide progress updates to management where required
• Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors,



and internal staff
• Follow company processes, policies, and procedures
About You
You are organised, detail-focused, and confident working with plans, numbers, and project information in a fast-paced environment.
You will bring:
• Experience or interest in construction, estimating, drafting, or project administration
• Robust attention to detail and accuracy
• Good Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Ability to read and interpret project information
• Clear communication and good time management
• Willingness to learn, follow instruction, and work as part of a team
• A practical approach to problem-solving
Experience with AutoCAD or construction drawings would be highly regarded.
A current Australian driver's licence is preferred.
