The role
Contribute to the identification of exploration targets and planning of exploration programs
Supervise and provide technical mentoring and training to field personnel
Supervise aircore, reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs
Perform high-quality geological logging and mapping
Design and oversee geophysical and surface geochemical surveys
Expertise in data integration to validate conceptual and solid geology models
Proficiency in 3D modelling and a sound understanding of sampling techniques and QAQC protocols
Assist in the maintenance and progress of a well-balanced exploration portfolio
Attend regular meetings to report on program status
Provide input into project reviews, resource modelling and budgeting
Contribute to discussions with the Exploration team on the review of exploration opportunities
Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
Maintain geological databases to record and report on drilling, environmental, rehabilitation and tenement activities
Timely delivery of drilling data to the Perth DBAs
About you
Tertiary qualified Geologist with recent and relevant gold exploration experience (ideally 7+ years post graduate)
Drill supervision and contractor management experience
People administration
Be passionate about making a new discovery
Track record in delivering well-planned exploration programs
Competency in ATR, POW, Form 5 and other statutory submissions
Current C-Class drivers' licence
Be computer literate, including a competent user of industry standard mining and GIS software; preferably Leapfrog and QGIS
Enjoy working as part of a small and dynamic team
