The HOspital-based Professionals for Pre-registration Experience (HOPPE) facilitation service is an internal nursing student clinical placement and nurse preceptor service.
The HOPPE Facilitator /Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) position is responsible for the coordination and clinical instruction of undergraduate nursing students undertaking clinical placements together with the development of nurse preceptors within the facilities/services of ISLHD.
They are also responsible for liaising and reporting staff and student matters related to the clinical development of students, creating opportunities for students to meet their objective/s and completing student assessments relevant to their clinical placement program.
The HOPPE Facilitator /CNE will work in collaboration with the Nurse Manager HOPPE as well as ward/unit based CNEs and nurses to ensure secure, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care is provided by the HOPPE CNE and the nursing students under their responsibility.
HOPPE CNEs are non-site specific must be able to travel across the LHD doing AM, PM or night shifts.

Holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.

Recent clinical experience and advanced nursing skills in an acute environment, with ability to lead, supervise and mentor others to deliver quality nursing care.
This is a temporarily funded position until 28 March **** with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
