Your new role
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical construction activities and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project and site requirements.Key responsibilities will include:
Supervising mechanical construction works across the projectEnsuring all activities comply with the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)Coordinating contractors, trades, and site personnelManaging daily work scopes and construction schedulesMonitoring work quality and ensuring compliance with project specificationsConducting safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessmentsProviding leadership, mentoring, and technical support to mechanical teamsIdentifying and mitigating project risks and construction issuesReporting on project progress, resources,
and field activities
What you'll need to succeedDemonstrated experience supervising construction works within a Queensland coal mining SHMS environment
Strong experience in mechanical construction methodologiesProven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary work crewsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong commitment to safety leadership and complianceAbility to coordinate contractors and manage competing prioritiesRelevant mechanical trade qualification or engineering qualificationCurrent Australian driving licence
