Are you an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer looking to combine hands-on technical work with team leadership?
We're seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join a high-performing Federal Government technology team responsible for delivering secure, scalable cloud platforms that support critical digital services.This is an exciting prospect to lead cloud engineering initiatives across AWS and Microsoft Azure, driving automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform modernisation while mentoring a team of talented engineers.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead a small team delivering secure AWS and Azure cloud infrastructureDesign, build, and support enterprise cloud platforms using Infrastructure as CodeDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with embedded security and complianceTroubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide technical leadershipProduce architecture documentation, technical standards,



and operational proceduresDrive continuous improvement across cloud engineering practices and platform reliabilityMentor engineers and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering or a similar roleStrong hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft AzureExperience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitOpsKnowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practicesProven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop technical teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly Desirable
Cloud cost optimisation (FinOps) experienceExperience within the Australian Federal Government or other regulated environments
