Singleton Hospitality Group is seeking a passionate hospitality professional to lead our growing functions and events business across two of the Hunter Valley's leading licensed clubs.

About the Role
As our
Functions & Events Manager
, you'll take ownership of our functions and events portfolio from enquiry through to successful delivery.
Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal departments, you'll coordinate everything from intimate celebrations to large corporate functions and community events, ensuring every occasion exceeds expectations.
This role combines
event management, hospitality operations, customer service, venue sales and project management
, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both planning and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for:
Managing all corporate, community and social function enquiries and bookings.




Growing function and event revenue through proactive promotion and sales of our facilities.
Conducting venue inspections and building robust relationships with prospective clients.
Preparing proposals, quotations and event documentation using
Function Tracker
.
Coordinating every aspect of event planning from confirmation through to completion.
Liaising with internal departments including Food & Beverage, Operations and Gaming to ensure seamless event delivery.
Preparing function rooms, including furniture movement, room layouts, event configuration and technical equipment.
Ensuring every function space is presented to the highest professional standard.
Leading, training and supporting team members delivering functions and events.
Monitoring event delivery to ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
Professionally managing customer enquiries, concerns and feedback to achieve positive outcomes.
Maintaining accurate records and reporting using
Function Tracker
and the
Microsoft Office Suite
.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and function sales.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
You'll ideally have:
Experience as a
Functions Manager, Events Manager, Event Coordinator, Conference & Events Coordinator, Venue Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
.
A strong background in hospitality, hotels, clubs, conference venues, event venues, restaurants or catering.
Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.




Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisation, planning and project management abilities.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Confidence using event management software (experience with
Function Tracker
is highly regarded).
Strong computer skills across the
Microsoft Office Suite
.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to assist with room setup, furniture configuration and event preparation when required.
Confidence resolving customer concerns professionally and positively.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
