We are seeking an experienced and compassionate District Bereavement Coordinator (Adult) to join our supportive and highly collaborative Palliative and End of Life Care Services team.
This is a unique opportunity to provide expert bereavement care across the district while contributing to service development, education, and clinical leadership in a specialised area of practice.
As part of a well-connected district-wide network, you will work closely with Palliative and End of Life Care Services (P&EoLCS;) Stream Leads, project staff, palliative care teams, and multidisciplinary clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred bereavement support.
About This Role:
As the District Bereavement Coordinator (Adult), you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based virtual bereavement support to individuals experiencing, or at risk of, complex grief.
Using advanced clinical reasoning and assessment skills, you will provide tailored care, develop support plans, and coordinate referrals to ensure clients receive the most appropriate services and interventions.
This role combines direct clinical care with leadership, education, consultation, and service improvement responsibilities, supporting consistent and high-quality bereavement care across the district, including the Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) service.
About You




We are looking for a skilled and motivated clinician who is passionate about supporting people through grief and bereavement.
Experienced and compassionate clinician with advanced expertise in evidence-based bereavement support, grief counselling, and loss related interventions.
Strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to support, educate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Highly developed organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across geographically dispersed service areas.
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology (including registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association for Social Work) with a minimum of 3 years full time clinical experience.

Current Driver's License and willingness and ability to travel for work purposes
