9-Month Contract | Immediate Start | South of Brisbane
Our client is a well-established Tier 3 national civil contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex civil infrastructure and FRP projects across Australia. Operating as both a Principal Contractor and Specialist Subcontractor, they continue to secure major infrastructure projects nationwide.
Due to an urgent project requirement, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on a 9-month contract, working on a high-profile infrastructure project located just south of Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on one of Brisbane's most iconic infrastructure developments while working with a respected national contractor.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, who will not be site-based full-time, this position requires an experienced and proactive Project Engineer who can hit the ground running and manage the project from an engineering perspective with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day engineering functions across a scope including:
- FRP works
- Pavements
- Footpaths
You will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to program while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day project engineering activities on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site crews.
- Develop and implement construction methodologies.
- Planning and programming of works.
- Procurement and management of materials and resources.
- Cost control, forecasting and reporting.
- Quality assurance documentation and ITPs.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support to the site delivery team.
About You
To be considered, you will possess:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects with a reputable civil contractor.
- Essential: Demonstrated experience delivering FRP works.
- Experience delivering pavement and/or footpath packages.
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
