We're seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our Sydney-based mechanical services team and contribute to high-profile projects across critical infrastructure and commercial sectors.

The Role

As an HVAC Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for complex commercial mechanical projects. You'll work closely with our design, project management, and construction teams to deliver innovative HVAC solutions for some of Australia's most technically challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical HVAC projects
- Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope and requirements
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
- Conduct site visits and assessments as required
- Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and value engineering workshops
- Support the estimating team with technical advice and commercial insights
- Maintain accurate records and databases of pricing, materials, and labour costs

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC estimating
- Proven track record working on Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial projects
- Experience across multiple sectors including hospitals, data centres, retail, and industrial facilities
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation methodologies
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite




- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Trade background or tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering/building services (preferred)

Desirable Experience:

- Design & Construct project delivery
- Knowledge of compliance and sustainability requirements
- Experience with ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Design) initiatives
- Familiarity with critical environments (hospitals, data centres)
