About the Role:

As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all Food and Beverage (F&B;) activities. From managing retail outlets and an onsite café to overseeing large-scale events, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional customer service and top-notch catering quality.

About The Venue:

The Sleeman Sports Complex is a world-class facility for elite athlete development and community sport in Queensland. It hosts aquatic and fitness activities, sports medicine programs, concerts, conferences, trade shows, and major events. Owned and operated by Stadiums Queensland, the venue is in Chandler, Brisbane’s East.

Key Responsibilities:

- Event Planning & Delivery: Supervise and coordinate events, liaising with the venue manager, head chef, and event staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.

- Operations: Responsible for setting up and packing down for events.

- Staff Management: Lead a team of 10-20 staff, coordinate training and development,



and handle any staff incidents or injuries.

- Continuous Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing operating procedures and identify innovations to enhance our services.

- Customer Service: Uphold high levels of service, manage customer feedback, and ensure our customer service values are consistently met.

What We're Looking For:

- Capabilities: Solid customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving ability.

- Qualifications: Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, Food Handlers Certificate, and a motor vehicle driver's licence.

- Experience: Background in events, hospitality, or customer service industries, with proven ability in managing teams and delivering events. Recent graduates from events or hospitality programs are encouraged to apply!
