Weekend Barista (full-time hours available)

Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced, reliable barista to anchor our weekend coffee service. Weekends are our busiest trade, so this role is paid at weekend penalty rates and shifts start at 6:00am.

There are also full-time hours on offer for the right person. That means picking up weekday shifts as well, starting at 5:00am. If you are after more than weekends, this is the role that can grow into it.

This suits someone who takes pride in specialty coffee, stays calm and fast when the queue is out the door, and can be the welcoming face of the business first thing in the morning.

About the role

You will be working on a La Marzocco PB Linea with a PUQ Press, with a strong focus on:

• Weighing and timing shots, and dialling in espresso daily

• Adjusting grinders throughout service to hold quality and consistency

• Frothing and texturing milk to a high, repeatable standard

• Daily cleaning and back-flushing of the espresso machine

• Running a clean, organised, efficient bar through peak rush

The role also includes supporting the team across general bakery operations: sandwich preparation, slicing bread, bagging rolls, food safety temperature checks, restocking and keeping work areas tidy.





What we are looking for

• Prior barista experience in a busy venue (this is not a training role)

• Calm and confident under pressure when service is slammed

• Confident adjusting grinders and dialling in, and able to explain your process

• Robust milk texturing and attention to consistency, speed and presentation

• Comfortable with daily machine cleaning and back-flush routines

• Cheerful, energetic and naturally good with regular customers

• Full weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)

• Australian work rights and fluent English

• Weekend role, shifts from 6:00am, paid at weekend rates

• Full-time hours available for the right candidate, with weekday shifts from 5:00am

• Located at Patrick's Bakery, Regents Park QLD
