As a result of continued business growth and organisational development, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting, compliance and accounting processes. This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial information, driving process improvements, and providing commercial insights to assist business decision-making.

Working closely with stakeholders across all areas of the business, you will contribute to the continual improvement of financial systems and processes while ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate reporting requirements. Experience with ERP systems and involvement in finance system implementation or optimisation projects will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and review reconciliations including bank accounts,



credit cards, intercompany accounts, payroll tax and superannuation.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Prepare and lodge statutory reporting obligations, including BAS, FBT and other taxation requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and external audit requirements.
- Monitor fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules and asset accounting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and internal controls.
- Provide financial support and advice to operational managers and stakeholders across the business.
- Assist in the implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of financial systems and reporting tools.
- Provide mentoring and support to junior finance team members where required.
- Payroll experience will be highly regarded.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
- CPA or CA qualification (or be working towards completion).




- A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role, or experience gained within a Chartered Accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP or accounting software systems (NetSuite experience highly regarded, however experience with similar systems such as SAP, Pronto or MYOB will also be considered).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
