Position OverviewProReman, an Epiroc entity, is seeking a Hydraulic Fitter to overhaul surface and underground hydraulic components including pumps, valves, motors, final drives, rotary heads and accumulators.
The role works primarily at our site in Wacol, Brisbane, with occasional field visits to customer premises.
The position requires precision work, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and procedural standards.Primary ResponsibilitiesStrip, rebuild or modify components for jobs.Modify, rebuild and fabricate drill components.Test to ensure accuracy of fit and conduct fault finding.Update job cards for parts used.Report inadequate stock levels to the shop leading hand.Perform daily tasks across all service areas.Assemble kits according to company documentation.Troubleshoot service issues and, when necessary,



escalateto relevant technical area for resolution.Focus on quality and continuous improvement.Adhere to company procedures and maintain high workmanship standards.Maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers.Essential Position RequirementsCertificate III in Mechanical Engineering.Solid knowledge of hydraulic function with the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings.Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills.Experience in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components.Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.Solid planning, organisational, communication and time‐management skills.Detail‐oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Highly Regarded but Not EssentialCurrent manual driver's licence (desirable).
Forklift licence (desirable).
Certificate 1V Fluid Power (desirable).
