Role Overview
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will facilitate the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability.
Your clinical expertise and guidance will support individuals in regaining independence, improving their quality of life, and reintegrating into the community and workforce.
Responsibilities
Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments (ADLS).
Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return‐to‐work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones.
Utilise problem‐solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants.
Work closely with a variety of stakeholders—including clients, their families, insurance companies, employers, and other healthcare professionals—to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.
Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations and solutions to drive desired outcomes.
Requirements
Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Current driver's licence and access to own transport.
Full Australian working rights.
