RoleThe role is to provide bus driving and support services to residents of the residential aged care homes.ResponsibilitiesEngage with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in outings.Put equipment (e.g., mobility aids) and resident shopping items into the bus.Fold and unfold mobility aids.Stay with residents to allow other staff to attend to their needs.Aid residents with straightforward mobilisation, including pushing a resident in a wheelchair when trained.Share feedback with the Lifestyle Officer or Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift.Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents.Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements, maintaining due care at all times.QualificationsPrevious bus driving experience within aged care or similar.Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable).
Experience with wheelchair‐access vehicles and wheelchair tie‐down systems (desirable).
Computer skills essential for documentation, online learning and training requirements.Skilled,
