As an R&D; Technician, you will play a hands‐on role in developing and testing new products, materials and manufacturing processes.
You will be involved in laboratory and field testing, prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives that help bring innovative solutions to life.
Responsibilities
Full Time – Monday to Friday
Assist with the development and investigation of new prototypes, products and manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement suitable testing methods for a range of materials and prototype products.
Conduct laboratory and field testing, including sample preparation, test set‐up, execution and disposal of test materials.
Record, analyse and report test results to support product development and continuous improvement.
Operate testing equipment safely, ensuring all laboratory equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
Handle and work with chemicals in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements and relevant standards.




Assist with the preparation, review and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
Certificate III in Laboratory skills or relevant experience
Forklift licence (or willing to obtain one)
C Class Driver Licence (prefer manual)
Understand polymers and FRP products (preferable)
Ability to read and interpret test standards and methodologies
Hands‐on experience when it comes to modifying and fabricating simple test fixtures
High attention to detail with a practical mindset
Experience using a variety of software packages, including laboratory test software
Must be able to pass all satisfactory pre‐employment checks – including Medical + Drug & Alcohol & Police Check & provide work‐related references
Must have unlimited rights to work in Australia.
