Mechanical Electrician – Townsville, Cluden Depot, Queensland
Ongoing casual role with immediate start.
Pay rate $ – $ per hour plus penalties.
9-day fortnight roster with ample overtime opportunities at penalty rates.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including street lighting, traffic signals, and basic Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
Conduct routine inspections and fault‐finding activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to maintain operational performance.
Participate in site assessments, upgrades, and project‐related work.
Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and safety standards.
Travel within operational regions and throughout Queensland as required to support project delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Electrical Mechanic qualification with current Electrical Work Licence.
Current CPR and LVR certificates.
Construction White Card.
Current Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence.
Ability to complete a pre‐employment medical.
Availability to participate in a skills assessment.
Flexibility to travel as required throughout the region and/or Queensland.
Highly Regarded Additional Qualifications
Queensland MR Driver Licence.
ACMA Registered Open Cabler with endorsements in Structured Cabling, Optical Fibre, and Coaxial.
Working in Proximity to Traffic Competencies (Parts 1 & 2).
Experience with street lighting, traffic signals, and Intelligent Transport Systems.
Robust understanding of electrical construction and maintenance principles.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, risk management, and safety requirements.
