About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Paralegal / Legal Services Assistant to join our team on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, based at our Varsity Lakes office.
This is an administrative role supporting the smooth operation of the practice and assisting our legal team with day-to-day tasks.
It would suit someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in organisation, and values being part of a professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
File & Document Management
Filing, copying, collating, archiving and arranging destruction of files
Lodging original documents into securities department
Destruction of old physical files
Setting up new client files
General Office Administration & Client Support
Answering and directing incoming calls
Meeting and greeting clients
IT support for staff (or liaising with IT Consultant where required)
Travel to post office, banks, and storage facilities
Assisting with other general administrative tasks as required
Paralegal Work
Assisting solicitors where required including but not limited to:
o Word processing basic legal documents and correspondence
o formatting documents
o filing, copying and collating documents
o making appointments and liaising with clients
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong administration skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A high level of attention to detail and organisation
A proactive and reliable work ethic
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Due to the travel required as part of the role, a valid driver's licence and your own vehicle are essential.
Previous experience in a legal or qualified services environment will be highly regarded.
