Trainee Batch Plant Operator

Preference will be given to those candidates that are already experienced operators.

Total Asphalt invites you to apply for the position of Trainee/Batch Plant Operator.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the safe day to day running of the Batch Plant.
Reporting to the Batch Cabin/Plant Senior Technician your duties will include:




Assisting the Batch Cabin/Plant Senior Technician with all aspects of the secure manufacture of bituminous products.
(all training provided where required).
Operating a telehandler (loader) loading ags into hoppers.
Keeping the plant, yard and equipment in a neat and tidy state.
Stocktakes.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Pro‐active, self‐starter capable of working in a small team
Valid 'C' class driver's license.
A solid work ethic including a commitment to work safely along with attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
Experience on Loaders/Bobcats desirable - but not necessary.
Own transport.
Be physically fit and ready to work in a sometimes challenging environment.
This position is a permanent role, working a minimum 5-day week.
