This role offers opportunities to work in low‐risk, all‐risk or Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander (Galinjera) teams with the option of providing homebirth services.
Western Health offers sponsorship to internationally qualified Midwives looking to move to Melbourne, Australia.
About you
Current certification: AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
Competent in a birth suite and in caring for intrapartum patients.
Minimum 18 months experience as a Registered Midwife in an Australian hospital setting (excluding placements).
Dedicated to woman‐centred care, advocacy, and education.
Excellent clinical skills with evidence‐based judgment.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to career development and continuous learning.
Key responsibilities
Deliver safe, high‐quality, woman‐centred maternity care in line with Western Health standards.
Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across various maternity care areas.




Promote evidence‐based midwifery practices and professional excellence.
Support patient education, informed decision‐making, and cultural safety.
Engage in continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the maternity setting.
Salary Range
RM 84,, based on experience per Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employer) Enterprise Agreement *.
