About the opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Distribution Team Leader to join our Townsville baking site.
The Distribution Team Leader is a key member of the Supply Chain team with responsibility for the delivery of the Supply Chain and Operations plan whilst on site.
All Distribution Team Leaders embrace and drive positive change, strive toward improved team culture and departmental efficiencies, and develop high team performance through compliance in safety, quality, plan attainment and cost standards.Shift patternSunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – 10:00am to 6:00pm.ResponsibilitiesLead a small team of five through dispatching operations and loading/unloading outbound linehaul.Ensure the Distribution Team achieves the daily tasks and KPIs.Understand capacity requirements and set timelines, mandating that staff adhere to operational systems and procedures.Manage departmental processes effectively.Requisition materials, monitor usage against standards, identify variances, and rectify them in a timely, accurate manner.Substantiate mandatory production,



safety and quality reporting requirements accurately and on time.Participate in daily meetings and provide relevant information to direct reports.QualificationsAt least two years of team leadership experience.Relevant industrial experience, preferably in the food, dairy or beverage sector.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.Solid leadership and communication skills.Logical, analytical and problem‐solving abilities.Planning and organisational skills.What We OfferAt Goodman Fielder we propound that better food must come from better people.
