Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from Wintel Engineers to support likely upcoming work within government.
You will administer and support Windows server infrastructure across physical and virtual platforms, keeping systems secure, patched, and available.
These are likely to be Canberra-based roles supporting operational and project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, support, and optimise Windows Server environmentsManage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicySupport virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-VPerform patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediationMonitor system health and resolve escalated Level 3 infrastructure issuesAutomate administration tasks using PowerShellMaintain configuration baselines, technical documentation, and change records
Required ExperienceProven experience administering Windows Server infrastructure in a medium to large environmentStrong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP,
and Group PolicyExperience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-VScripting experience with PowerShellSound understanding of patching, backup, and system monitoringAbility to resolve complex infrastructure faults independently
Desirable ExperiencePrior experience within an Australian Government or similar secure environmentExperience with Microsoft 365 and Azure servicesFamiliarity with storage and backup technologiesRelevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or Azure Administrator
Security Clearance RequirementsMust be an Australian CitizenActive AGSVA Baseline security clearance required
Working ArrangementsPrimarily onsite in Canberra
