Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from Standard Operating Setting (SOE) Engineers to support likely upcoming work within government.
You will design, build, and maintain the standard operating setting, keeping the desktop build secure, consistent, and current across the fleet.
These are likely to be Canberra-based roles supporting operational and project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain the Standard Operating Workplace for Windows devicesDevelop and manage desktop images, drivers, and base application setsConfigure and manage Group Policy and endpoint security settingsTest and validate SOE builds ahead of deploymentSupport operating system migrations and fleet-wide upgradesAutomate build and configuration tasks using scriptingMaintain configuration baselines and technical documentation
Required ExperienceProven experience building and maintaining a Windows SOE in a managed environmentStrong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 image creation and deploymentExperience with SCCM, Intune,



and AutopilotSolid understanding of Active Directory and Group PolicyScripting experience with PowerShellExperience with driver management and hardware compatibility
Desirable ExperiencePrior experience within an Australian Government or similar secure environmentExperience delivering large-scale OS migration programsFamiliarity with security hardening and configuration standardsRelevant Microsoft certifications
Security Clearance RequirementsMust be an Australian CitizenActive AGSVA Baseline security clearance required
Working ArrangementsPrimarily onsite in Canberra
