Job Description
Position Summary: The Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well‐being.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to clients in line with their NDIS goals and support plans.
Assist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
Provide transportation support to appointments and community activities.
Deliver respite care to clients and their families when required.
Maintain accurate, up‐to‐date records of client care plans and progress notes.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care team.
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well‐being.
Participate in ongoing career development to remain current with NDIS best practices.
Requirements
Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability.
Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
Robust understanding of the NDIS and its practice standards.
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligations.
Ability to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needs.
Basic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain).
Robust computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems.
