The Careers Department is a SaaS tech platform that services 800 schools nationally.We are solving the problem that we've all experienced at one point: "Which career should I chase?"We work with school and university students, at scale, to inspire them to see what the future of work could look like.
This role is responsible for building and strengthening The Careers Department's presence with key external partners.We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing partnerships team.
This is a true outbound business development role, ideal for someone who enjoys creating prospects from scratch, and spending significant time speaking with prospective customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Build and manage outbound prospecting campaigns targeting industry partners and schools.
Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the Partnerships Lead.
Conduct high-volume outbound calling and follow-up activity.
Research and identify key decision-makers across education and industry organisations.




Engage prospects through multiple channels including phone, email, LinkedIn.
Maintain accurate records and activity within the CRM.
What We're Looking For
Ideally 2 years of outbound prospecting, SDR, BDR
Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders over the phone.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to pick up the phone.
Resilience and persistence when working through outbound sales cycles.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Experience using CRM systems is desirable.
Education or technology sector experience is advantageous but not essential.

Although you'll start on the phones, the right candidate will have the chance to progress to Partnerships Manager within 12 months.
