Through our Patient Transport Service, we provide non‐emergency patient transport in Victoria and Recent South Wales, supporting patients with safe, compassionate care as they travel between home, hospitals and specialist clinics—on the ground and in the air.About the roleFlying Doctor Patient Transport is seeking motivated and caring Patient Transport Officers to join our Metro (Mitcham/Essendon) team.
This full‐time role offers flexibility, structured training, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment—without the pressures of emergency response work.Key responsibilitiesPerform patient assessment and intervention during road transportDeliver safe, compassionate care aligned with RFDS clinical guidelines and NEPT regulationsMonitor patients and evaluate responses to treatment en‐routeWork collaboratively with a partner clinician in a team‐based modelQualifications and experience requiredA minimum qualification of Cert III in Non‐Emergency Patient care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent.
