Milestone IT is partnering with a leading large-scale hospital to recruit Senior Biomedical Engineers to join a high-performing clinical engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of critical medical equipment that supports patient care across a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot a broad range of critical medical devices and life-support systems.
Lead preventive maintenance and repair programs to ensure equipment availability and compliance.
Provide technical expertise and support to clinicians and hospital stakeholders.
Assist with equipment evaluations, procurement, commissioning, and lifecycle management.
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
Mentor and support junior biomedical engineering staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
A degree qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience working within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with critical medical devices, including equipment such as ventilators, patient monitoring systems, infusion devices, anaesthetic machines, and other life-support technologies.
Strong fault-finding and technical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements relating to medical devices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
