With a focus on creating long-term value through strategic transactions and project development, the organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide technical accounting leadership during a key business combination project.
Job Description
Lead and manage the accounting assessment for a business combination.
Apply AASB 3 / IFRS 3 Business Combinations accounting requirements.
Identify, assess and determine the fair value of acquired assets and assumed liabilities.
Review and document complex accounting treatments and technical accounting positions.
Provide accounting guidance and support to key stakeholders.
Liaise with external advisors, auditors and valuation specialists where required.
Ensure robust documentation is maintained to support accounting conclusions and audit requirements.
Support corporate reporting and compliance obligations.
The Successful Applicant
To Be Successful,



You Will Demonstrate
Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Group Accountant, Technical Accountant or similar senior finance position.
Solid hands-on experience with IFRS 3 / AASB 3 Business Combinations.
Deep understanding of acquisition accounting and fair value assessments.
Strong technical accounting capability and the ability to interpret complex accounting standards.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
The ability to exercise sound professional judgement in complex situations.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work independently.
