Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Sussex Doctors.
You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide comprehensive care to patients, including taking vital signs, discussing symptoms, documenting health history, administering medications, and providing resources and guidance on managing medical issues at home.
You are expected to demonstrate extensive knowledge of a range of illnesses, injuries, and to deliver compassionate, hard‐working care.
Responsibilities
Immunisations and other injections
Triage
Wound management
Chronic disease management
ECGs
Explain procedures to patients, providing support and reassurance
Assist with care plans and shared health summaries
Assist with telehealth consultations
Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation
Daily coordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, general maintenance and care of medical instruments and equipment
Implement and practice infection control
Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties
Qualifications & Skills
Current AHPRA registration
Excellent communication skills
Enjoys working in a team workplace
Experience in an accredited General Practice workplace
A caring and cooperative approach to patient care
A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism
Proven multi‐tasking, problem‐solving and time‐management skills
Use of Best Practice programs preferred
Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments
Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation
Additional Requirements
Current Police Check
Current AHPRA registration
Current Working with Children clearance
Current First Aid/CPR certificate
Immunisation Record
Driving licence or photo ID
