We are seeking an experienced EEHA/E&I; Engineer or suitably qualified EEHA/E&I; Technical Specialist to support ongoing inspection, compliance, and remediation activities within hazardous area installations.
This role will suit a practical, detail-oriented skilled with strong working knowledge of explosive atmospheres (EEHA) and relevant standards, who can confidently assess, document, and advise on compliance issues in operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct desktop assessments of hazardous area (Ex) equipment and installations
Review and interpret EEHA documentation, including drawings, registers, and certification
Identify non-conformances and provide clear, practical recommendations
Support the development and maintenance of hazardous area registers
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical compliance issues
Contribute to reporting and close-out of identified defects
About You:
Certified Ex Engineer or demonstrable, extensive EEHA experience
Strong understanding of AS/NZS * series and hazardous area compliance requirements
Experience in inspection, maintenance, or auditing of Ex equipment
Ability to work autonomously and manage workload across multiple priorities
Strong communication and reporting skills
This is a Darwin-based chance
Desirable:
Experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry environments
Previous involvement in remediation programs or large-scale audits
Electrical trade or engineering background
