Structural Engineer

MAINTAIN Group is a specialist mining services contractor operating across Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP), Fabrication & Supply, Scaffolding, and Industrial Coatings.
We're looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team, based at our Forrestdale workshop.
About the Role
This is a Perth-based role suited to someone who wants hands-on exposure to real project delivery — from procurement through to close-out.
You'll work closely with project teams and General Manager - Operations to keep technical documentation, planning, and traceability on track across live jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Ordering steel
Compiling MTO (Material Take-Off) lists
Compiling MDR (Manufacturer's Data Report) reports
Drafting methodologies
Drafting Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
Drafting Inspection Test Reports (ITRs)
Building project Gantt charts/schedules in Microsoft Project
Drafting Technical Queries (TQs)



for client submission
Putting together weld maps
Compiling traceability registers for each project
Ability to construct fabrication drawings (a bonus)
What We're Looking For
Site-based experience essential
Suited to candidates with less than 5 years' experience
S26 qualification advantageous
An understanding of SMP, Fabrication & Install, Coatings, and Scaffolding is advantageous
Solid attention to detail and document control discipline
Comfortable working to deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or willingness to learn quickly)
Initially offered on a casual ongoing basis with permanent position available for the right candidate.
