Lead Production Engineer | Perth, WA | $140K–$160K + Super
Keystone is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client — a Perth-based IoT technology business scaling up its manufacturing capability.
Our client is moving from small-scale, manual production toward a structured, repeatable manufacturing operation, and needs a hands-on Lead Production Engineer to drive that transition.This isn't a large corporate manufacturing role.
You'll work in a small, technical, founder-led team, build process from the ground up, and own production engineering as the business scales.
What you'll do:Improve production flow, efficiency and repeatability across IoT device assemblyDevelop work instructions, assembly procedures, and quality/test processesSupport the shift from manual, small-batch production to scalable manufacturingWork with suppliers, fabricators and contract manufacturers on sourcing and qualityPartner with hardware and software engineers to ensure manufacturabilityEstablish production KPIs — output, quality, rework, lead times,



bottlenecksProvide guidance to technicians and assemblers as the team grows
What you'll bring:Experience in production, manufacturing or industrial engineering — electronics manufacturing highly regardedA track record of improving manual or small-scale production environmentsAbility to build work instructions, test procedures and process documentation from scratchComfort working in a small business/scale-up setting without established structureStrong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersIoT, embedded systems, PCB/cable assembly or product testing experience highly regardedLean manufacturing, Six Sigma or quality systems exposure a plus
Salary: $140,000–$160,000 + Super, depending on experience
