The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in developing winning technical proposals for capital equipment projects.
Working within a fast-paced tendering environment, you'll prepare cutting-edge engineering solutions, develop technical documentation and support commercial submissions that help secure major projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop competitive and creative equipment designs for tender submissions
Produce engineering calculations, MTOs, load tables and power demand data
Prepare GA drawings, transport drawings, construction methodology drawings and 3D models
Develop technical scopes, specifications, datasheets and vendor documentation
Coordinate technical input from subcontractors and suppliers
Support engineering estimates, schedules and manhour forecasts
Review tender documentation and manage technical clarifications
Attend client meetings and site visits, including interstate travel where required
Present technical proposals to clients and stakeholders
About You
You'll be an experienced Mechanical, Structural or Design Engineer with a robust background in bulk materials handling equipment and tendering.
You will also bring:
Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Design Engineering
Around 8+ years' experience in bulk materials handling design
Strong knowledge of Australian design standards including AS, AS, AS and AS
Experience using AutoCAD and 3D design software
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working in fast-paced sales and tender environments
Balanced Machines experience will be highly regarded, along with experience in crushing & screening, process design, civil works or loadout systems
