Job Title:Economic & Project Evaluation SpecialistJob Summary / OverviewAn prospect exists for an experienced Economic & Project Evaluation Specialist to lead the development, analysis and assurance of business cases for major transport infrastructure programs.
This role provides strategic advice on investment decisions, economic appraisal and funding submissions while supporting government approval processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation and assurance of business cases and economic appraisals.Conduct investment assessments including options analysis, benefit-cost analysis and project evaluation.Provide strategic advice on economic appraisal methodologies, advantages realisation and post-completion evaluation.Integrate traffic, engineering, planning, environmental, cost and risk inputs into investment recommendations.Prepare executive briefings, funding submissions and investment recommendations.Engage with project teams, consultants and senior stakeholders.Develop business case frameworks,
templates and quality assurance processes.Represent the business case function in governance forums and project committees.Required QualificationsDemonstrated experience preparing business cases and economic appraisals.Experience undertaking benefit-cost analysis and investment assessment.Knowledge of transport infrastructure projects and government investment processes.Experience preparing funding submissions and executive documentation.Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.Skills & CompetenciesBusiness case development.Economic appraisal.Benefit-cost analysis.Investment assessment.Strategic thinking.Stakeholder engagement.Report writing.Project evaluation.Government funding processes.Communication and leadership.Apply NowMatch the selection criteria?
