A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced
Data Engineer
to focus on BAU operational support, including daily data delivery, month-end processing, and responding to data-related requests, while also contributing to continuous improvement of data pipelines and processes.
The successful
Data Engineer
will be offered an
initial 12 month contract + 12 months extension option and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful
Data Engineer
will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Develop, maintain, and optimise enterprise data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical code.
Define and maintain data modelling, peer review, development, and release standards.
Lead technical implementation activities from requirements analysis through to deployment and operational support.
Develop and maintain SQL analytical and ETL code supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
The successful
Data Engineer




will have experience in the following:
Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterprise data warehouse and data integration solutions.
Solid expertise in SQL development, optimisation, tuning, and code review.
Demonstrated competency in at least two of the following technologies: MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
High level programming capability including experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, or Java.
