About the Role
This is a three-month temporary contract covering a period of leave within our established finance team.
The role sits within a team that has solid processes and clear ownership, you'll be stepping into a well-supported environment with a focused remit.
The primary focus is supporting month-end reporting and coordinating external audit deliverables.
You'll need to be experienced enough to contribute immediately, and comfortable working independently within defined processes.

Responsibilities
Own month-end and year-end close including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Prepare financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
Coordinate the external audit process: manage auditor requests, track deliverables, and prepare workpapers




Support management reporting and financial reporting requirements
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data
Support AP/AR and general finance operations as required
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (highly desirable)
Required Skills
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance, including GST/BAS reporting
Hands‐on experience supporting external audits and delivering to strict deadlines
Proficiency in Xero and the Microsoft Office Suite — advanced Excel skills in particular
Solid analytical, problem‐solving, and communication skills (written and verbal)
High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to data integrity
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
A collaborative approach and adaptability to changing priorities
