Sous Chef | Victoria Point Tavern
Victoria Point Tavern is seeking a qualified Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help lead the team, manage busy services, and maintain top food safety standards in our rapid‐paced bistro.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the leadership team, supporting the Head Chef to ensure every service is flawless.
Take charge of shifts, mentor the crew, and keep kitchen standards razor‐sharp.
Inspire the team with your expertise and a can‐do attitude, ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is a work of art.
Requirements
Hands‐on role involving manual handling and lifting (e.g., moving stock, kegs, deliveries).
Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
Published trade qualifications: Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Full 7‐day availability for a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends,



and public holidays.
Prior leadership experience as a Sous Chef in a high‐volume pub or similar setting.
Current food safety certifications and up‐to‐date cooking credentials.
Evidence of robust leadership, high‐volume experience, and a reliable work ethic.
