An outstanding prospect has arisen for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel (10+ PQE) to join the legal team of a major ASX-listed essential services provider in
Sydney
.
The Role
This is a growth role that will see you reporting to the General Counsel working on the design, build and maintain some of the Australia and Current Zealand's most significant fibre optic, mobile networks and critical communications infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting commercial, operational, project and bid teams on competitive tenders with telecommunications carriers and digital infrastructure owners
Reviewing and negotiating design, construction and maintenance agreements for telecommunications infrastructure projects
Managing and advising on
dispute resolution strategies
, including claims involving customers, subcontractors and third parties
Advising on
regulatory matters
,



including safety and environmental obligations
Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced infrastructure or projects lawyer with at least 10 years PQE gained from a mixture of in house and private practice. You will have strong experience advising on commercial contracts relating to design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure.
It will place you at an advantage if you have exposure to regulatory frameworks in telecommunications, safety and workplace.
You will have advanced communication skills with vast experience managing key stakeholders in a competitive tender workplace.
