JS Careers is excited to be partnering with a global investment management firm to source a newly created Head of Compliance - Superannuation position.
This is a critical leadership role with accountability for the Australian compliance function, while also partnering with an international compliance team on global initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Australian compliance function with responsibility for superannuation and AML compliance.
Act as the Accountable Person under FAR for the Compliance and AML functions.
Provide commercially focused compliance advice to senior executives, Boards and key governance committees.
Lead regulatory engagement with ASIC, APRA and other relevant stakeholders.
Personally drive complex regulatory initiatives and business-critical compliance projects from inception through to implementation.
Review emerging compliance issues in detail, identify root causes and ensure effective remediation.
Maintain oversight of compliance monitoring, testing and risk management frameworks.
Embed robust governance, accountability and ethical standards throughout the organisation.
Develop,



mentor and lead a high-performing compliance team.
Partner with global compliance colleagues to contribute to regional and international regulatory initiatives.
About You
You are recognised within the industry as a technical expert in Australian superannuation regulation and are comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
You will bring:
Extensive experience leading compliance within the Australian superannuation sector.
10+ years' experience in financial services compliance.
Solid knowledge of APRA and ASIC regulatory frameworks.
A proven ability to lead complex regulatory change and resolve challenging compliance issues.
Demonstrated experience influencing senior executives, Boards and regulators.
Robust people leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
A collaborative leadership style combined with a willingness to remain hands-on when required.
