We're looking for a senior leader with a strong multi‐modal transport planning and traffic engineering background to help shape the future of infrastructure.
In this role, you'll provide strategic and technical leadership across major transport projects—from concept and business case through to delivery—while strengthening key client relationships (particularly within TMR) and driving growth.
You'll combine technical excellence, leadership, and commercial acumen to deliver high‐quality outcomes and expand Aurecon's transport planning capability.
You'll lead large‐scale, innovative projects, mentor a high‐performing team, and collaborate across the ANZ region to deliver sustainable, future‐focused solutions.
What You'll Do
Lead planning, development, and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects
Shape the strategic direction and standards of the transport planning and traffic engineering discipline
Build and maintain solid client relationships, growing pipeline and market presence
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence




Drive innovation through sustainable and technology‐enabled solutions
Contribute to bids, secure recent work, and expand existing client engagements
What You'll Bring
15+ years' experience in transport planning and traffic engineering
Strong industry profile with proven leadership and team development capability
Deep understanding of multi‐modal transport (roads, public transport, active transport), with TMR experience highly regarded
Demonstrated success delivering complex projects and leading multi‐disciplinary teams
Strong client relationship, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience in winning work, developing bids, and growing client portfolios
Sound commercial acumen and ability to drive project performance
Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or similar
