Job Description
The position requires a hands-on engineer who can operate independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The role offers flexibility depending on technical strengths, with a robust emphasis on improving security posture and capability maturity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk, including onboarding, health checks, patching and maintenance
Perform security engineering across endpoint, network and gateway technologies
Assist with incident response using enterprise security tooling
Provide security engineering advice to internal stakeholders
Develop and uplift security operations system requirements
Education / Certifications required
Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology or Engineering
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Splunk or vendor-equivalent are highly regarded
Knowledge / Skills required
Strong experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations with a hands-on focus
Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk
Knowledge of EDR, device control and application control technologies (e.g. Trellix, Carbon Black)
Familiarity with vulnerability management tools
Understanding of MFA, IAM and Privileged Access Management solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust
