Cavanaghs Transport is an industry leading livestock carrier, with depots based in Tamworth, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and Inverell NSW.
Our fleet consists of 23 prime mover and trailer combinations which are maintained to the highest standards and updated on a regular basis.
We are currently seeking Permanent and Casual MC drivers to assist us in continuing to deliver excellence to our customers throughout Australia, with versatile work rosters and high pay rates.
About the role
Our business requires experienced skilled drivers to operate B-Double and Road Train combinations.
Key aspects of the role
Long distances requiring regular nights away and some weekend work
Livestock handling, prioritising animal welfare at all times
Work as part of a team
Daily pre-start checks - Including early referral of any issues to our accredited maintenance team
Making explicit and accurate entries on job records and daily driver work diary
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the prime movers and trailers




Follow company CoR, WHS, speed, fatigue and maintenance programs

Skills and experience
Previous MC experience preferred.
Livestock handling skills necessary.
MC licence
Pleasant and respectful manner when communicating with others
Fatigue Management Certificate
Previous experience carting and/or handling cattle and sheep or willing to learn
Livestock Loading Certification
Experience with convertible livestock trailers and B-Double
