We are looking for a passionate Disability Employment Support Officer to join our dynamic team in Mackay.

Responsibilities

- Gain an understanding of job requirements through task analysis and provide required support to clients, including liaising with employers and clients to maximise workplace integration and job stability.
- Organise support and assistance to clients on matters of personal care as per individual support needs if required.
- Contribute effectively to identification, removal and reduction of workplace hazards and risks to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Identify training and development needs of clients and provide individual coaching and training to optimise the individual's progress toward achieving their potential.
- Identify and report any workplace modifications that may be required onsite.
- Collaborate with other employment services staff to ensure up-to-date and accurate files and records are maintained, complete all relevant documentation as required and ensure confidentiality of information in line with CPL, contractual and legislative guidelines.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience and/or ability to provide post‐placement support in the workplace or outside the workplace, preferably within the disability sector.




- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including collaborating with colleagues to achieve KPIs.
- Consultation, negotiation and problem‐solving skills.
- Well‐developed organisational and time‐management skills.
- Experience in setting targets/KPIs and the ability to focus on outcomes.
- Accurate and effective computer and record‐keeping skills.

Prerequisites

You will require a valid C‐class driving licence, a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance to start (we can help).
