iWater NT Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team based in Palmerston NT 0830. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, installing and repairing irrigation systems across residential, commercial and landscape projects.

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that irrigation systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing essential support to our customers and contributing to the success of our business operations.

Key responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems including sprinklers, drip irrigation, valves, controllers and related equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation system faults and malfunctions, identifying solutions promptly and efficiently

Perform regular system inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity

Test irrigation systems following installation to verify correct operation and water distribution

Provide technical advice to customers regarding system operation, maintenance and water conservation practices

Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, installations and maintenance activities

Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and responsibly

Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations in all work activities

Respond to customer enquiries and service requests in a professional and timely manner

What we're looking for

Formal qualification or apprenticeship in irrigation, landscaping or a related trade

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as an Irrigation Technician or similar role

Sound knowledge of irrigation system design, installation and maintenance practices

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and specialised irrigation equipment





Ability to read and interpret irrigation system plans and technical documentation

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites across the Northern Territory

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour, working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Current First Aid Certificate would be advantageous

Knowledge of water conservation and sustainable irrigation practices preferred
