Beam Planning is a recently established planning consultancy, founded with the aim to illuminate the path and support our clients on their planning journey.
Beam brings together four experienced directors with experience in large private consultancy.
The four directors decided to start their own firm focused on working on the most significant projects in NSW in a collaborative setting where excellence and innovation thrive.
Our current projects include a diverse range of State Significant Development (SSD) applications, Housing Delivery Authority combined rezoning and SSD applications, planning proposals, policy development and advice, as well as local, and regional development applications.
We are looking for an Assistant Planner to join our growing team and support the four directors in all aspects of our projects.




If you are passionate about planning and a good communicator that can see yourself carving out a career in consultancy, this is your chance to join an exciting current business from its inception.
In this role, you will have the prospect to learn from and work directly with each director.
Day-to-day activities will include reviewing, analysing, and summarising planning polices and legislation; contributing to planning advice, writing Statement of Environmental Effects and Environmental Impact Statements; attending meetings and industry events.
This contract role is offered to commence in early (with the potential to start earlier), with a view to provide full or part time employment during the completion of the individual's studies and the opportunity for permanent employment upon completion of the degree.
