About the Role

:

The Chef plays a significant role in enhancing the quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals.

As the Chef, you will prepare well-balanced meals while fostering a positive dining experience for our residents, leading by example & providing guidance to the broader Catering team.

Key responsibilities:
Meal Preparation: Responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef.

Ensure that the meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet high standards in taste,



appearance, and portion sizes.
Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other kitchen staff, to ensure productive meal preparation and service.

What we’re looking for
Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
Food Safety Supervisor Certification
Adaptability, passion for what you produce and how you lead the team
Cooperative approach
