The role will serve as a primary subject matter expert on Navitaire Current Skies integrations, with a robust focus on third-party integrations and current website endpoint implementations.
The role involves answering technical and functional queries, reviewing integration designs, and ensuring robust, scalable, and secure integrations between Navitaire and external systems.
This position requires deep knowledge of airline reservation systems, API integrations, web services architecture, and airline commercial workflows.
Navitaire Subject Matter Expertise
Act as the Navitaire Current Skies SME for third-party and website integrations.
Provide authoritative responses to technical and functional questions related to:
Reservations
Main Booking flow
Manage My Booking
Ancillaries
Payments
Check-in
Interpret Navitaire API documentation and clarify endpoint behaviors.
Third-Party Integrations
Review and advice on integration architecture between Navitaire and:
Insurance providers
Payment gateways
Loyalty systems
Revenue management tools
CRM systems
Mobile applications
Define required API contracts and data exchange requirements.
Identify integration dependencies, rate limits, authentication mechanisms, and security considerations.
Assess pull vs push mechanisms for booking extraction.
Validate webhook, polling, and batch data sync strategies.
Website Integration Support
Review current website integration with Navitaire endpoints.
Validate correct usage of:
Booking APIs
Modify booking endpoints
Retrieve booking endpoints
Offer and ancillary endpoints
Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability concerns.
Ensure proper error handling and retry mechanisms.
Validate caching strategies and session management.
Review integration patterns used in the booking funnel.
