Job Description

About the Role

Are you a people person who loves building relationships and creating positive experiences?

As our Community Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for volunteers and play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, engaging and supporting our volunteer workforce. You'll help ensure our volunteers feel valued, connected and empowered to make a meaningful impact in the community.





This is a hands-on role that combines volunteer engagement, administration, reporting and stakeholder management.

This is a part-time position based in Morningside, QLD, with fixed working hours of Monday to Thursday: 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm and Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities

- Attract and engage new volunteers
- Recruit and onboard volunteers, providing an engaging induction to ensure safety and awareness
- Run Information Sessions (confidence in public speaking is a must!)
- Collaborate with your stakeholders to plan and assess needs
- Deliver meaningful reports
- Ensure compliance and safety

Desired Skills and Experience

- Qualifications in social services, education, human resources or similar are desirable.
- Experience coordinating a high volume volunteer program is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and community members.
- Solid communication skills both written and verbal, experience writing engaging newsletters is highly desirable.
- Highly organised and excellent time management.
- Experience in a profit for purpose organisation, FMCG, hospitality or similar will be highly regarded.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs.
- Experience with Volunteer Management software is desirable.
