Job Description

We are hiring experienced Metal Sheet Fabricators / Metal Fabricators for a reputed engineering company in Australia. The ideal candidate should have strong workshop fabrication experience, expertise in MIG welding, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabricate high-quality metal components.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication work.
- Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets and steel components accurately.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, shears, and other workshop machinery.
- Perform welding using SMAW, MMA, MIG, and TIG processes.
- Carry out grinding, polishing, finishing, and surface preparation.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures while maintaining quality and safety standards.




- Ensure all work is completed according to engineering specifications and company procedures.

Salary: AUD $40–$43 per hour

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Metal Sheet Fabricator / Metal Fabricator.
- Trade qualification as a Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker, Welder, or equivalent.
- Strong hands‑on experience in MIG welding, especially on mild steel.
- Experience fabricating and welding SHS and RHS steel sections.
- Mandatory experience in agricultural equipment fabrication/repairs and/or transport/logistics fabrication.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently.
