The Role
Here at EBOS Group we have a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised Payroll Officer with strong attention to detail and desire and ability to grow payroll skills and knowledge to join our highly engaged and supportive HR team.
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end (E2E) Australia and New Zealand payroll administration including onboarding and offboarding of employees as well as delivering accurate and timely pay runs.
You will also be required to work collaboratively with our payroll team and cross functionally to proactively support our managers and leaders with addressing all pay-related queries. As such your strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately under conflicting time pressures, will be critical to success.
This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to get involved in continuous improvement activities and support with building and maintaining comprehensive documents for payroll processes as well as apply your existing skills within a excellent business.
Must be able to do 7.30am starts bi-weekly to accommodate New Zealand timing.
What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, you will be a self‑motivated qualified who takes full ownership of your desk.
- Deliver end-to-end (E2E) ANZ payroll services in compliance with Enterprise Agreements, IRD/ATO requirements, and statutory regulations;
- Maintain accurate payroll data and resolve complex reconciliation errors;
- Support month‑end reporting and liaise with internal/external auditors;
- Proactively address pay‑related queries with high levels of confidentiality;
- Provide occasional cover for the broader team during leave periods.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar fast‑paced ANZ payroll environment;
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of both Australian and New Zealand employment legislation and E2E processes;
- Drive: A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure;
- Tech Savvy: Intermediate MS Office skills (especially Excel);
- Systems: Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors and ECP is highly regarded.
